Can Loving Your Child Too Much Become A Problem?

The relationship between a father and his son is divine. What happens if the father loves his son too much and he is so hard on him that it leads to a lifelong disconnection? The Judge is a movie that touches on a father and son relationship and tries to make us understand that no matter the problem love and family comes first. You Can Never Leave Your Family Behind Hank Palmer, played by Robert Downey Jr., is a successful defense attorney in the city of Chicago. After receiving a call that his mother just passed away, he decided to go to their hometown of Carlinville, in Indiana. Hank is also on the verge of divorce after he found out his wife is cheating on him. During the funeral, Joseph, played by Robert Duvall, barely appreciates his son’s presence.

An argument ensues about what led to the fallout of their relationship, and Hank vows to return to Chicago, never to come back again. But before he leaves, he finds out that police are questioning his father as a suspect in a murder case. Hank decides to stay back and defend his father. Hank returns home to Indiana for his mother’s funeral. He rejoins his two brothers and receives a hostile welcome from his father. His father becomes a suspect in a murder case, and Hank decides to defend him to prove his innocence. Your Family Won’t Agree With You All The Time But That Doesn’t Mean They Don’t Love You The judge is a legal drama with elements of family, love, relationship, and tragedy. It discusses the relationship between a father and son, who love each other, but can’t stand each other’s principles. When Hank was younger, he was the cause of a drunk driving incidence that cost his younger brother his career in baseball. Joseph, out of worry for Hank’s future puts him in a correctional facility. Hank thinks this is cruel. After he regains his freedom, he left home never to return. The story also touches the aspect of love as the foundation for family and trust. Despite seeing Joseph as a problematic person, Hank still believes that his father might be everything but a murderer. He was ready to defend him to gain his freedom. This movie is the perfect example of a father trying to protect his son the best way he thinks, something Hank finds hard to understand. The judge is a film young people should watch to understand that sometimes, parents take harsh decisions out of love and not out of wickedness.
